Design Studies offers a unique programme which takes advantage of the interdisciplinary study opportunities at the University of Otago. We provide top-notch content in our areas of expertise, you decide ‘what kind of a designer’ you would like to become.

We offer options from a three year Bachelor, to a four year Honours degree, a postgraduate diploma, a one or two year Masters and, if you are qualified, the opportunity to study a PhD in Design. Please note we are no longer accepting applications for the Master of Design MDes programme.

We conduct research and development across this multidisciplinary environment and in cooperation with other disciplines from this and other universities.
